Policies and Procedures – Roof Cleaning | Pressure Washing | Gutter Cleaning | Window Cleaning | All other services

1) North American Exterior Cleaning and its employees agree to provide services stated in this agreement in a reliable and trustworthy manner.
2) North American Exterior Cleaning uses only professional cleaning products to clean your home to the highest standards and to insure no damage is caused to your home or property.
3) Customer is responsible for ensuring all windows and doors are closed properly if pressure-washing services are being performed.
4) Customer is responsible for providing running water for use with cleaning services selected.
5) All our work is fully insured.
6) North American Exterior Cleaning uses ladder stand-offs to protect your gutters from damage.
7) Business and visiting hours fall between the hours of 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. and services are usually completed during this time.
8) Guarantee Policy: North American Exterior Cleaning wants you to be completely satisfied every time. If, within 24 hours, you are not satisfied, North American Exterior Cleaning will come back to your home and re-clean said areas at no additional charge.

North American Exterior Cleaning Wash 5 Year Spot-Free Warranty:

Our SoftWash roof cleaning method will be used to remove all the black algae and mildew stains, and return your roof back to its original color. We do not use a pressure washer for cleaning your roof. Pressure washing a roof, even at low pressure, can and will void your warranty, as well as cause granular loss. Instead we use a SoftWash cleaning method and solution as prescribed by the Asphalt Roofing Manufactures Guidelines. This mean's that your roof is cleaned safely, with no risk of damage, and will not void any remaining warranty you may have on the roof. Our SoftWash solution consists of sodium hypochlorite, for the removal of algae, mold and mildew spores, diluted with water, along with our roof cleaning surfactant. The surfactant helps to minimize run off of the solution as well as aides in the cleaning process. The solution is gently applied using less pressure than what comes out of your garden hose. Once we are done the roof is returned to it's natural color, and the solution is left to continue to kill the algae, mold and mildew spores. Rain eventually comes along and rinses any dead algae from the roof. The roof will remain stain free for a period of 3-7 years, depending on amount of rainfall and sunlight. We provide a spot-free warranty, if any staining returns in years 1 or 2, we will retreat roof at no charge. If staining returns in years 3-5, we will retreat the entire roof at 50% of the original cost. Keeping your roof clean and maintained will add years to the life of it and save you thousands of dollars in premature replacement. Please note if you are only cleaning the roof and not the home, the roof solution may contact your home and if so will clean those ares. This may present as spotty or blotchy looking siding. We are not responsible if the solution contacts the homes siding, please consider having the home cleaned the same time as the roof this will prevent this from happening.

If your not completely satisfied call within 24 hours so we can return and remedy any concerns you may have.

Scope of Work:

The work and services to be performed are those expressly agreed upon on the front of this agreement. Additions requested by the customer will be added to the contract as an additional charge. Please read this document completely to be sure each and every service you require is listed. If it is not listed, ask the representative to make a written amendment to the front of this document to communicate your service request.

You Should Know:

Prior to our arrival we require clear and uninterrupted access to your property. Please note a $200 cancellation fee is due if cancellations occur within 3 business days (refer our business hours) for your schedule cleaning date. Please make sure that there is no other work, like painters, electricians, plumbers, landscapers, etc., or events like garage sales, luncheons, parties, etc. scheduled at your home while we are cleaning. If we are unable to perform the work as requested due to any of the above situations there will be a $200 cancellation/rescheduling fee incurred. Any breakable items on walls or patio furniture should be removed from the area and placed in a safe area like your home or garage, prior to our arrival. We will be happy to move patio furniture for you and return them to the area. Small potted plants should be removed by customer prior to our arrival. Large potted plants, or potted plants that show signs of cracks will not be moved by us, but we will be happy to clean around them. Electronic items like TV's, speakers, radios, etc, should be removed by you prior to our arrival and placed in a safe sheltered area, like your home or garage. Due to liability we cannot move items like these. If we need to cover them with tarps or plastic we will, but please understand that we are not responsible for damage. Decorative ground type speakers should be covered or disconnected and placed in a safe area. Please note internet services may be disrupted if the box is not properly installed and weather protected. We are not responsible for internet interruptions due to cleaning services. Unless you choose the added window cleaning detailing, North American Exterior Cleaning will rinse your windows during and after the house or roof treatment process. Still, some sediments may settle on your windows. Depending on the quality of your water, there may be streaking & spotting on windows. We are not responsible for spotted or streaky windows after cleaning services are completed. If you would like a quote for window detailing, we will be happy to provide you one. North American Exterior Cleaning is not responsible for the rare "fogging" effect that happens to multi pane windows with bad seals. During the course of our cleaning, it is possible that some water intrusion may occur around your windows, doors, foundations, and even siding. While this is very rare, worn window and door seals, or even cracks normally cause this. While we make every effort to prevent this from happening, we cannot be responsible for damage caused by water intrusion. Please note during cleaning of home or roof areas water may enter in areas that may not be properly sealed, covered or protected we will not be responsible if water enters and causes damage to interior ceilings, walls or property. We ask that if you know of any pre-existing conditions that you notify us, and if you are not going to be home that you consider putting towels around those areas that may need it. Removal of Artillery Fungus is not included in this proposal. Improper mulching causes this fungus. Damage to outdoor electrical outlets due to improper installation and/or the weather seal failure is not our responsibility. Although rare there are pigment failings in paint tints which show up after exposure to our cleaner. North American Exterior Cleaning will perform a paint test in an inconspicuous place but occasionally the problem may show up in isolated areas well into the cleaning process. Blue and brown paints are the most notorious for having tinting issues - blues turn green and browns turn yellow. North American Exterior Cleaning is not responsible for manufacturer defects in tinting that show up during our cleaning process. Vinyl siding and paint fail with time. A powdery oxidation appears on the surface that is removable by brushing. This film will return fairly quickly once removed. Occasionally, small amounts of this film wash away during our cleaning process, leaving a blotchy look to the siding once dry. This is temporary North American Exterior Cleaning will not return to brush your home to restore the uniform look without additional fees. Please consider this before having us clean sun-damaged siding.

Weather:

Weather conditions are an important factor in our work environment. North American Exterior Cleaning may need to cancel their work due to rain, wind or lightning. Rescheduling will be completed at an agreed upon date and time with the customer.

Safety:

North American Exterior Cleaning's commitment to safety is your assurance that your job will be completed according to Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) standards.

Insurance:

North American Exterior Cleaning carries a 2 million dollar aggregate liability policy along with a 1 million dollar liability umbrella policy. North American Exterior Cleaning also covers all employees with Workers Compensation Insurance. If a company does not carry Workers Compensation, in the event of bodily injury, you, the property owner can be liable for injury to anyone working on your property. We always provide a certificate of insurance to our customers for their peace of mind and protection.

Payment:

Payment is collected the day of the cleaning at the conclusion of work being completed. If other payment arraignments are needed this should be discussed at the time of scheduling. North American Exterior Cleaning reserves the right to place any unpaid account in collection. Customer agrees to pay all collection costs, court costs, late fees, interest, administration and attorney fees applicable by law. By selecting 'Approve' to an estimate, customer acknowledges they have read and agree to the terms and disclaimers.
